• How you feel about on going training in this current climate?
As with any decision of this nature, provided there is a clear need and provided
the supplier can demonstrate value-add this is a relatively low cost solution that
can provide benefits many times over as well as demonstrating the value of
your employees to future success. Consider the ramifications of not doing it!
It’s very simple I think – to have a high performing team, regular review of
technical skills needs analysis is essential; involve your HR and L&D teams
for greater support.
• Anything else you think is relevant?
Whilst SSTS market as training providers I have benefited from their
development abilities. I’ve used SSTS every time I have inherited a new team
for development, not training; by providing details of what my team development
needs are. Every time I have then seen the benefits to individuals but more
importantly to my team(s).

One of the newer members of our team had used Sharp Software Training Solutions while with her previous employer and she was only too keen to recommend them when we identified a need for some Excel training.The first training session was excellent. Nicky was able to tailor the session to suit each individual’s personal requirements though at a pace that we all felt comfortable with. It was very useful to be left with a thorough training manual for reference. We are all certainly much more confident and efficient following the training. A requirement was identified in 2008 for an internal training course for Microsoft Project for new Project Managers and key support staff.A contract for the services was placed with SSTS who were found to be competitive both in price and flexibility regarding course dates.The course content and structure was very comprehensive and set at the right level for the students. The trainer displayed excellent product knowledge and confidently answered all questions that were asked of her. The 2 day course was well received by the students who were very positive in their comments when completing our internal training feedback questionnaire.
